"Destroyer" Goes Double Platinum

DESTROYER AT 2 MILLION

Kiss' fourth studio album, DESTROYER, has been certified double platinum (2 million units sold) by the RIAA on September 9, 2011.

Originally released March 15, 1976, the album was first certified Gold (500,000 units sold) on April 22, 1976 and platinum (1 million units sold) on November 11, 1976. The album peaked at #11 on the Billboard Album Charts and spawned 4 singles, Shout It Out Loud (#31), Flaming Youth (#74), Detroit Rock City and Beth (#7).
The album was produced by Bob Ezrin with the distinctive album art by Ken Kelly who also did the artwork for Kiss'  Love Gun album.
