Raise your hand if you realized that KISS star Peter Criss was a breast cancer survivor. Criss, 64, who was diagnosed with the illness back in 2008, has vowed to help fight the stigma that surrounds male breast cancer, a disease that is more commonly associated with women.

Now that his battle with cancer is behind him he is putting his support behind the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. The rocker will take part in a charity walk in New Jersey in October. Criss is asking fans to get involved with this great cause.
"On October 17 I will be walking for the American Cancer Society... I would love for you to join me in this walk to help save lives and bring awareness to men and women about this disease... as a breast cancer survivor, I thank you!!!"
What Peter Criss is doing is very important to all people, men and women alike, who have been stricken by this terrible disease. The KISS star is not the only high profile musicians that has been involved with fighting breast cancer this week. Sheryl Crow, who is also a breast cancer survivor, opened a new wing at a breast Cancer Center in Los Angeles.
